GMHC, Daniel Nardicio and the Dworld crew are joining forces with Taylor Shubert to put together The Fire Island COVID DESTROYERS - using donated funds to employ NYC and Fire Island drag queens and go-go dancers, promoting healthy behaviors on Fire Island and stopping the spread of COVID-19. In partnership with Governor Andrew Cuomo, whose office supplied PPE for this project, the COVID DESTROYERS have distributed over 2,000 masks and 3,000 bottles of hand sanitizer in Cherry Grove and the Pines. DAMN YANKEES AT THE BARNSTORMERS THEATER
In June of 2019, Taylor returned to The Barnstormers Theatre in New Hampshire for his fourth season to choreograph Damn Yankees.
"The choreography by Taylor Shubert is impressively perfectly timed with the music."
"Shubert does a decent job of emulating the Fosse style, particularly on “Whatever Lola Wants,” which Gottlieb sells for all its worth. The ensemble work on “Two Lost Souls” is also impressive.
"But it is actually the less overtly Fosse numbers where Shubert’s choreography really shines. 'Shoeless Joe from Hannibal, Mo.,' which features an ensemble of ballplayers leaping and sliding across stage, is a thrilling set piece."
"On those two songs, as well as “Heart,” there’s a terrific sense of chemistry between the cast of ball players" - Conway Daily Sun
