is an entertainer and organizer based in New York City.
In the theater, he works as an actor, director, choreographer, and producer. Taylor is the founder of Our Establishment, a New York based theater company whose show, Between Gods And Kings: A New Rock Show, played Off-Broadway last season at Bedlam in the East Village.
Taylor has been seen performing in productions of Bullets Over Broadway and When You Wish (world premiere) at Phoenix Theatre, playing Valentine and understudying Bert in Mary Poppins at the Arts Center of Coastal Carolina, Angelique in La Cage Aux Folles at San Diego Musical Theater, and most recently played Steven in the workshop production of Nora Burns' The Village, or A Fag*, A Hag*, a Drag*, a Hustler*, a John*, a Junkie* and a Jew* Walk into a Bar (*sorry, *I know, *wrong, *dated, *what, *stop,*really?!). Other regional theatre credits include Hairspray (Merry-Go-Round Playhouse), and A Chorus Line (North Shore Music Theatre).
Taylor returned to The Barnstormers Theatre in New Hampshire last year for his fourth season, choreographing Damn Yankees. His past work at the Barnstormers includes productions of The Producers, Spamalot, Das Barbecu, and Dancing at Lughnasa. He has served as a resident summer director for the Spotlight the Arts Foundation, an organization that supports the arts in his hometown of Calabasas, CA and surrounding communities.
In nightlife, Taylor is a known staple. He is a bandit and two-steppin' cowboy at Flaming Saddles in Hell's Kitchen, where he has worked for the past 6 years. He is also part of the Dworld crew, the team behind BEDLAM Bar and Club Cumming in the East Village, the legendary Dworld Underwear Party on Fire Island, Bette Bathhouse and Beyond in New York City and New Orleans, and Mr. Nude York and Mr. Nude Orleans events. Last year, Taylor joined Sam Benedict and the Club Cumming team at the Stoli Key West Cocktail Classic, where Club Cumming took home first prize and $15,000 for the charities Gays Against Guns and Habitat for Humanity.
Taylor is a proud union member (SAG-AFTRA, Actors' Equity Association) and a lifelong Democrat. He is a member of the West Harlem Progressive Democratic Club, on the at-large board of Stonewall Democrats of New York City (NYC's premiere LGBTQ Democratic Club), and has served as a New York County Committee member and Judicial Delegate representing a portion of upper Manhattan.
